After a fantastic sell-out concert by the Rumberos Allstars for the first session of 2010 in February, we are back first Friday of March with a top guest salsa dance-teacher, Rowan Brown of www.salsafever.co.uk fame A salsa veteran of 15 years, Rohan is in-demand across the whole of the UK as well as international salsa congresses, both as a dance teacher and an events compere (Mambo City London Salsa Cogress, Club Cubana weekender, Scottish Salsa Congress etc). Tonight is his Rumberos debut and he will be teaching an improvers’ level funky bachata class, the sensual couples dance from the Dominican Republic, as well as joining the resident DJs on the decks!
Also tonight, the debut salsa dance show from two of the North’s top young up-and-coming funky Cuban style salsa dancers and regulars at Rumberos, Julia Lawson and Wayne Gater from The Hop Dance Studio in Wakefield.
Resident DJs Lubi and Fabio Bahia, will keep the party rocking from start to finish (as they always do alongside DJ Silvao), with old and new salsa from Puerto Rico, Cuba, New York and Colombia plus a touch of bachata and merengue!
Doors 9.30pm – funky bachata class with Rohan Brown 9.45pm – dance show 11.30pm – DJs until 2.30am
